The wholesale markets are open on weekdays for wholesale trade only. Members of the public cannot buy direct from this market. There is a Wholesale Clearance market which is open to the public on Saturdays.
This is Western Australia’s only wholesale market which receives produce from throughout the State, interstate and overseas. Produce is bought by Buyers and is distributed to supermarkets, independent retailers, and food service providers such as restaurants, catering companies, hospitals and school canteens.
The bulk of produce is traded through the Central Trading Area (CTA) which consists of 25 wholesalers. Produce is also bought and sold through over 30 secondary wholesalers who are located on site. Located on site are also transport, storage and food processing companies that provide services to the Wholesale market.
