Vacant South East Triangle

Perth Markets Limited obtained the final development approval for buildings 1 – 3 in January 2019. Each building has the flexibility to be configured as a multi-tenant or single tenant purpose built cold chain warehouse.

Building 1 has an approximate area of 3500m2 and is 100% pre-committed with memorandum of understandings executed by 3 tenants.  The consultant team led by DWP Architects are currently preparing the tender documentation with the tender to be completed during September – October 2019. Subject to final approvals and execution of agreements to lease by all tenants early works are expected to commence in December 2019 and be completed by September 2020.

Commercial Centre Upgrade Strategy

Architectural company Taylor Robinson Chaney Broderick (TRCB) have been engaged to review the Commercial Centre. Working in conjunction with the leasing agent MLV the architect will review the upgrade opportunities to enhance the presentation of the commercial building to assist with the retention of existing tenants and assist in attracting new tenants to the current vacant areas.  The review will be finalised by October 2019 and Perth Markets Limited will then assess the cost benefit analysis of the upgrade options.

Overall Site Masterplanning

Progress continues on the future Ranford Road train station. Procurement for a main contractor began in mid-2018, and an alliance-model contract will be awarded in 2019. Main construction is expected to begin shortly after. The location of the future Ranford Road train station to the south of Market City presents significant opportunities to increase employment intensity and introduce new land uses on the site. Master planning of the Market City site will progress as development of the Ranford Road train station progresses.
