Emergency & Evacuation
- If in immediate danger, or on hearing the alarm;
- Do not panic. Try to remain calm.
- Make sure you know the location of your nearest exit and alternative exits.
- Ensure to follow the instructions communicated by fire wardens, PML Market Officers and automated alarm systems.
- Make your way to the emergency assembly/muster point.
First Aid & Emergency
- All PML Market Officers are trained in first aid.
- A first aid room is located at the PML Administration Office.
- First aid equipment including oxygen and a defibrillator is located at the PML Administration Office, CTA Office and PML Patrol Vehicle. Child defibrillator pads are also available at these locations.
- Emergency phones are also available on site.
High Visibility Clothing
- It is important to wear high visibility clothing at all times when operating inside the confines of the PML compound.
- High visibility vests must be worn in all areas of the public market where forklifts have access. This includes the CTA, warehouses and common areas.
- High visibility vests must comply with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4602.1:2011
Pedestrians
- Pedestrians must use designated walkways and crosswalks marked on site.
- Be aware of traffic, particularly forklifts operating throughout the site.
Smoking Restrictions Apply on Site
- Non smoking signs must be observed.
- Designated smoking areas are available.
Site Speed Limits
- Motor vehicles must adhere to the site speed limit of 30km/h on Ring Road.
- The areas in and around the CTA and warehouses are strictly 10km/h.
Roadways
- Stop signs for all vehicles to be observed prior to entering/exiting the CTA Central East/West Roadway. Buildings and trucks can obscure those driving along the roadway between the buyers car park and the sides of the CTA tenancies.
- Convex mirrors to aid vehicles entering and exiting the CTA Central East/West roadway should be used.
- Helmets must be worn by drivers of motor bikes, motor scooters and bicycles and is enforceable under amendments to the Road Traffic Act 1974.
- No shortcuts are to be taken through car park bays.
Animals
- Animals are not permitted on site.
